I'm from Minnesota, and I say YES it will get stolen if it's your daily.
Or at least broken into. Don't buy it if you're going to drive it daily like that at work, etc.

Don't forgo pleasure for fear. If you want an R, get one. Install an alarm, tracking system, and whatever other security features make you feel comfortable and enjoy owning a fantastic car.
any honda can get jacked. Its the price you pay for owning one. If you dont like paranoia don't pick it up. If you can handle paranoia then its worth it.
Im not getting paranoia at all... or at least I think Im not? haha
I just wanna know... and if it does get stolen, then I guess it gets stolen. I'm gonna pay full coverage anyways!!! :D

oh you will trust me you will. lol. I'm paranoid everyday. Some people can't live with the paranoia and they end up selling their honda.( friend of mine sold his ek because he couldnt take it anywhere)

Lojack does not work in MN. Autopage has a real time gps tracking system available as an extra to their alarms. You can even set a radius that if the car passes, it will shut down immediately. But that won't help if they tow it.
If you want one, get it. But I would highly suggest not DD it in MN. That's just asking for it...

Anyone intelligent enough to put themselves in the position of ownership with these cars understands the risk involved with daily driving it. IMO, you are stupid not to pick up a beater and leave the R in the garage until you want either track it, or drive it knowing it won't leave your sight. These are my rules that i stick by. If you ignore the fact that someone will inevitably steal it you are setting yourself up for disappoinment and frustration when you find it gone.
Daily driven R = just a matter of time until it is gone.
Lojack is not all that it is hyped up to be. If someone wants it bad enough they will get it. This has been proven time and time again.
Best of luck with your decision. My 2 cents.

That's pretty much my attitude. I've done everything I reasonably can to protect my car. If some thief wants it, like you said, they'll get it. I'm not going to alter my lifestyle, or my desire to drive my car because some shitbag might steal it. I bought the car to enjoy it, and that's what I do.
It's been stolen once and recovered by GPS service, and I'm even less worried about it now.

do the trade that's a great deal on your part.
insurance also covers these cars at market value. double check with your agent but anti theft systems and good insurance would have my daily driving a real R anytime.
when i first bought my R, i was really paranoid of it getting stolen and was almost to the point where i wanted to sell it...
But having owned it for almost a year now, im not that much paranoid anymore.. after realizing theft isnt a HUGE problem around here and just get layers of security and you'll feel better :D, after all it IS a car and it CAN be replaced :D
With that said.. just be safe with it. haha

Thanks guys for your answers. I'll think about the trade... I could get it and sell it for a RSX type S? Always wanted one but I prefer the DC2 looks.
I would get it. Thieves will take what they want no matter what. just enjoy it and take every precaution you can. I daily drive mine. I have been followed home, when I lived in FL. You just have to keep an eye out. Now I live in the woods in NC, their are about 3 people in my town who know what it is, the rest think i am an idiot for painting my car yellow.
