Ok well I was cruising on the freeway on 5th gear at around 3k rpm, when the cel came on. All I can think I was doing was a real sharp left turn and I was really really low on gas. Could that have caused the knock sensor code? Or am I looking at other problems? Should I reset ecu and see if it comes back? Any suggestions are appreciated. Its my DD for work and don't want to be stranded somewhere since I'm a courier. And use my car daily. TIA

 

gas shouldn't have anything to do with the code.

check your sensor to see if its dirty, and check to see if your knock sensor wire is still hooked up.

this might Sound retarted but where is the knock sensor located? This is the first time I've dealt with this and its my first DOHC engine.LoL

 

Well the plug is connected so, i dont know. I reset the ecu to see if it comes bacl. I dont know why i have a feeling it was the gas and me being so low on it. But we will see.
