my brake lights stayed on all the time when the lil plastic button broke off on the brake light switch by the pedal. look for broken pieces of plastic on your carpet.

is it the brake lights or the tail lights? for example have someone stand out side the car and you (or vice versa) push the brake pedal and see if the tail lights get brighter or if they stay the same, that will let you know if its the brake lights or the tail lights, then you can start diagnosing from there, i would say it could be the sensor/switch by the pedal. or a short somewhere in the wiring. i've seen both cause the issue. hope this helps!

well i found a the black switch that is supposed to be pushed all the way in when you're not braking. tHat kinda of borke off so it isn't fully depressed. I'm assuming that if its depressed all the way, the light turns off and when it sticks out, the light turns on.

If your tail lights are staying on check the brake pedal switch, or the E-brake switch...the hyper blink means a short somewhere or an electical issue...is it only on one blinker or bothside. For the most part what ever side is hyper blinking, is the side that has the issues, so that kind of narrows it down closer.

well i grab the lil brake switch by the pedal at the junkyard today. hopefully this will fix this problem. but BOTH sides still hyper blink. But the Driver side turn signal doesn't evne light up, but on the gauge cluster, it hyper blinks.. and the passenger side hyper blinks on the cluster and outside.
