ditch the crx for another car, or????
I need to build up some more credit, and have thought buying another car might be a good way to do this....I have had a habit of paying cash for all of my play toy over the past few years, and my credit rating went away from lach of useage I guess
. Damned bad credit will follow you forever, but a little good credit will disappear in no time
So here are my thoughts:
Sell my CRX and Geo metro, and replace them both with a newer model car....ie. Integra, cl,.....something I feel reasonably priced.
or
just take out a few bank loans and mod/repair my car some more......only thing is, I already have more invested than the crx is worth......and I hate to throw too much money at it, and then take a loss if something happens.
Just for a heads up, the car is a 91 dx with a b18a swap...hcp mounts, AEM short intake, custom bent exhaust...very basic but fun. It needs some body work, a paint job, a new windshield, the seats reupolstered(sp
)....and I would like to do some head work, as well as my disc brake conversion....and maybe a few more basic mods.
I do however like GSR's, and would heavily consider a clean....STOCK( don't want someone elses ****-ups ) one. This car would probably not get mods, as I already sink too much cash into my minitruck, and really just love my Honda for day to day transportation, and occasional drag/autocross duties.
Also feel free to give me suggestions regarding either decision.

I've had the minitruck longer than the crx. It was torn apart being airbagged when I got the chance to buy the dx( though I did really want to do the swap a few monthas after buying it...so I had it done
). I only bought it because I had been wanting one before imports were even popular. I still love the car...that is why I am only going to consider replacing it with a car I think will still be fun.

ok. with the kind of money you sound like you have, your crx has incredible potential. but, sell the metro. for the love of god!
, The metro has been a damned good car for daily trans......and has been there when both my crx and truck have been down.....but yeah, I am going to let it go.As far as having money...no, I have just been spending more of my check than saving from it....another thing I have to stop doing if I am going to try and get a house....plus I bought the truck for $1500 with a new motor, so I haven't had too many mechanical problems from it. The CRX cost me $1200 cash, with coil overs. a fiberglass front end( that I had to put on....and later take off as I found a good stock front), a pair of headlights to replace the broken ones, and a few misc other peices. So both it and my truck have taken tons of my time, as well as my money....and there both still ugly and unfinished
. Oh well one day maybe....I just really want something that doesn't need a paint job.....so I need to hurry up and make a decision.
I'd keep the crx if you still have performance in mind, it still has a lot of untapped potential, and will be faster than a gsr which you are not planning to mod. I'd also keep higher insurance rates in mind. Still the gsr is a nice car either way
