Reliable supercharged daily driver?

What would I need to do to my engine if I wanted to build a reliable supercharged daily driver? I have an 04 RSX Type-S. I think its the K20A2, and its completely stock with just a CAI. I want to build a pretty fast street car that will keep up with boosted Subarus, but it will also be a daily driver, so it has to be reliable. My question is, what would I have to do to the engine internally to keep it reliable? Or could I just slap a supercharger on there and be fine?
I'm getting my SC next month and all I'm going to do is bolt it on lol. I don't think you need to really worry about internals like you would a turbo. I mean sure it's always a good idea seeing how your motor wasn't initially designed for a turbo or SC so it wouldn't hurt. SC's don't put out as much boost or power so it's not as big as a problem I believe, someone correct me if I'm wrong.
you should be good for the sc on the motor but dont go to a reallly small pulley. just get a good race header and cold air and youre set. all youre going to need is the jsrc(race)/kpro/better belt than the one they give you(heard too many stories of slipping)/gauges(mainly boost/air:fuel/oil pressure), and a clutch and flywheel.
id say use either the 3.4 inch pulley or if you and to get a little more boost use the pulley boys 3.2 inch pulley. youll need a good race header in intake plus a good clutch and flywheel id say stage 3 or 4. read up on crsx about the jrsc as well.

Why a race header? Whats the difference between a race header, and a normal header? Like the DC header for example? I know I have to get Kpro, and get it tuned. Also, why do I need a different pulley? My HP goal is 300.

hmmmm. well to start if you want a short header then id say go with a high flow cat as well since the oem cat is going to choke the motor. the reason for the race header is to help you achieve your 300hp goal. different pulley is for more boost. the smaller the pulley the more boost. with the 3.2" pulley youll have about 10psi but remember you cant go too small because there is no way of cooling the supercharger down. so to reach your 300hp goal my advice would be: 3.2" pulley(with the proper sized belt of course), a good race header(hytech, ssr, vibrant, buddy club/stay away from dc), a 3" internal diameter cold air intake, getting the kpro tuned, and a good cat back system. also the clutch and flywheel are important as well as some better tires to help plant the power.
why a race header?!
The faster air is coming into the engine the faster you need to get it out! Engines are just like people. Harder you breathe in the harder you breathe out, like running.

With a race header, does it emilminate the cat? I need it to be street legal.

Check into the 3 inch exhaust that nahonda mentioned, and then may get just a little shorty header, it's not gonna give you the power of the race header, but it is legal.
EDIT: And of course, INVEST in KPRO

Deffinantly going with Kpro lol. As for exhaust, has anyone ever used the Greddy Evo 2 Turbo catback? Its 3". Then maybe a shorty header with a hi-flow cat? Or if I went with a race header, and used a CEL eliminator, would it still pass emitions? What 3" exhaust do you guys recommend that doesnt sound like a fart can?
I was on ClubRSX, and I found this. Its a Vibrant Race Header with a Hi-Flow cat. It also comes with a CEL Eliminator.

Your emissions depends on your state. In NY, I pass with flying colors with my race header and defouler. Their system plugs into the onboard connector in the car and as long as it doesn't indicate a CEL I'm cool.
If you do decide to get a race header getting a set of motor mount inserts or like I did get replacement Innovative mounts become a good investment.
And as mentioned earlier... KPRO and a good tune.

Okay, because I live in Oregon and I'm trying to remember. I think they just plug their computer into your onboard connector. I don't think they actually check at the tail pipe. Is anyone in Oregon running a race header with no cat, able to pass emissions? Hopefully as long as my CEL doesn't throw a code, ill be fine.
