hey all just had a little car audio question.....i got a kenwood cd player model KDC-MP435U and it only has like 2.5 volt for the rca outputs to the amp is there a way to up the volts to like 4 or 5 volts so my amp doesnt have to work so hard......i had an alpine head unit back in the day it was 4 volts for the pre outs bass was hitting hard as hell gain wasnt even half way on the amp.....well the motorized face on the alpine was going out so i got rid of it and bought a different cd player had only 2.5 volts and dang when i put that in i had to turn the gain on the amp all the way up and it still wasnt close to the alpine 4 volts.bass was crappy.....so im starting up my sound sytems again and i just realized this about my rca outputs om my kenwood......do i need an epicenter or is there a way to put up the volts so i dont have to get a new head unit i hear an epicenter gives you more bass,i dont realy want more clipping bass lol.....just clean tight and hard hitting without over working the amp so it wont clip

thanks a bunch thats what i was looking for a line driver,i thought it was a epicenter but the line driver i much cheaper lol and i saw one that can put out 8 volts from the rca thats what i need to make my amp run more efficient thanks again
check out the
Phoenix Gold 'pld1'
It is an inline amplifier for the RCA's. place it near the head unit and be careful because this thing picks up engine noise easily. also good luck finding them.
