When I did mine, I didnt take out the baffles. I just drilled the vc and welded -10an bungs.

Opposite experience for me... I removed the baffles and didn't reinstall. I have no oil/vapor control issues at all on my 4G63.

For my D VC's I was putting in another smaller baffle in the back to just cover it up.

I have seen some B-series covers with just little tabs welded at an angle to block any oil from getting out.

you should keep the baffles especially in the back of the vc.

me too, I keep the baffling intact, just drill a hole in the surface of the vc, but not into the baffle.

I had mine done and they just drilled and welded the two bungs on.

The easiest way to drill through the valve cover without going through the baffling on the inside is by using a stepped drill bit (aka uni-bit).

And that usable baffling in the rear is where?

OP, just weld up some tabs on the inside to channel oil around. I make them longer now, but here is a picture I did from some years ago.

I guess b series don't have rear baffles like the H does. If you put hoses on the rear I would suggest putting baffling over it so you don't lose so much oil when you accelerate.
