need help onrebuilding gsr block

Default need help onrebuilding gsr block

im getting my gsr block rebuild and i wanna put a pr3 oversize pistons and get the crankshaft micropolished this engine will go to my daily driven car my question is do i have to get the crank,rods and pistons balanced?

crank optional, usually honda cranks rarely go out of spec. Unless its spun a bearing.

pistons and rod no. Get them pressed on and all set.

So what do you think will happen if those aftermarket pistons and wrist pins aren't the same weights as the oem pistons and wrist pins?

i got it balanced machine shop recomend to balance the rotating assymbly.

I would balance the bottom end. It doesn't even cost much at a machine shop.

Good job, whoever slaps a motor together with aftermarket pistons and rods w/o balancing the bottom end is just asking for trouble.

Yes do it right the first time!, have the crank mic'd and polish use king or acl bearings along with new rings ect. have the rotating assembly balanced and you wont have to worrie about spinning a rod bearing after all the money and hard work you just did trying to cut a small corner.
