4th gen trans will bolt into a 5th gen prelude?
Can anyone verify that the USDM 4th gen VTEC 5-speed trans will drop into my 5th gen prelude without any trouble? I'm 95% sure it will be fine, but maybe soneone here knows for sure.
thanks!
thanks!
Is that legal in HC?
Nevermind, it appears that it is in H2 and H1, if the ATR uses an H series engine. I can't remember if it came with the H or F engine...

Don't have to be USDM. JDM or EUDM is ok, as long as it's not the type-S engine. Type-S is not legal in H2. (mainly to keep cost down of building a HC race car for H2). type-S is ok in H1 though.
What we really need is someone to make a H2B kit that will work in the 4th gen / 5th gen prelude chasis. Then we have access to all sorts of gearing options. Maybe I can talk them into that.

The EUDM Accord-R had a H22A8 (The JDM Accord Euro-R had a H22A). AFAIK they're both pretty similar to the Type-S/SiR S-spec except with better trannies and IMs...
