how do u know if ur Spoon mirrors are real or fake??

whats the packaging looks like??

and i heard some scratch mark on the driver's side stories

can any one answer this??

 

all the real ones ive heard about contain about a two inch long mild scratch on one of them, defect in the mold.

 

You buy them from a reputable source.

 

dont the spoom mirrors have a blue tint as well?

my friends spoom mirrors on his Si did.

 

yeah, the scratch is on the passenger side mirror in most cases.

 

I have EG and DC Spoon mirrors and neither have the blue tint.

Both have unsightly scratches in the mold, which don't matter because I didn't buy them to win the show.

 

I want my mirrors back hoe.

 

I found some a while ago locally that are fake. They have blue tint on the mirror itself, but they are power as well! Some guy was selling them for ~$150 if I can remember.

 

If MTK Kommander makes fun of you for buying them, they are indeed real

spoon mirrors actually look good.. but yeah, i wouldnt buy the real ones.. the fake ones look the same and they do the same ****.. why waste money on a brand name? but yeah.. i wouldnt make fun of someone puttin mirrors that look good on their car..its better than using carbon fiber as a cosmetic "upgrade" now that just looks plain ugly.. no offense, my opinion.

no, no blue tint on the REAL spoon mirrors.
only on the fake ones.

 

mine is the same got some scratches

 

they come in a package thats heat wrapped and say VISION on it.

 

So they do come with a scratch on them? I thought I had done that on Install.

i had a mean avatar of an old man flipping someone off, and i think it was ChrisC or something like that, he took my user level down and suspended my avatars, so i talked to teken about it, hes always been a cool guy about little bullshit on here with me, and he restored my avatars after like 4 days.. a little punishment i guess..

but yeah.. teken told me i can never get my user level back up.. so i guess thats going to be a scar on my account

 

When I got mine a few years ago, they were sealed in plastic bubble wrap, with the Spoon logo all over the plastic. Mine don't have the scratch, and there is no blue tint on them. The trim around the mirror is hard plastic, and it cracked over time from the sun and heat. If I could have found fake ones back then, I would have bought them
