i know theres a few pops here and there with a 2 step, but what is the thing called that just kills the ignition when you press a switch, but fuel and air still go in the cylinders, heard my friends car today and it sounds crazy, dont hate, just help, thanks!

but it wasnt 2 step i think, like there was no limiter bouncing or anything, hed just rev it, it would go quiet, then POP! about a 3 foot flame would burst out the muffler lol

yea the one i saw yesterday was even crazier, coming out of a stock gs muffler with piping lol, he said hes gone through 3 mufflers in a year hahaha, but you dont know how this would work?

i dont get it, but can you help me out? my cars got coil on plug or w/e, so idk if thats going to be a problem. its a 91 bmw 318is

 

add a lot of fuel to the air fuel ratio but its not good at all for the car

 

yea i dont want to foul my plugs or anything, but im pretty sure my friend didnt do **** to his a/f ratio? i know he had msd 2 step, so thats one thing im gonna need, but i dont know what the switch was that killed the spark to all the cylinders.

i think all it is, is 2 step, say at 2500rpm, but you rev to like 7 and then hit the 2 step button, it kills the spark til 2500, and when it comes back on at 2500, you get a fat backfire from the fuel in the exhaust, but i dont know if itl work on my 318is, we use coil ignition or something like that

I believe that's the difference from an msd with 2step as opposed to getting your ecu chipped with launch control

basically if you want the fire get the msd
