Default Gas guage

I have a '92 Accord EX and my gas guage is really tricky, I don't think it is at all accurate whenever I get below half a tank of gas. I had to switch my guage cluster whenever a new guage install didn't work and it is still weird. Everytime I brake fairly hard, the guage drops some and whenever I acclerate is goes back to about the spot it was at......I was wondering if anyone had any input or suggestions on how to fix it?

i think the sensor in the tanks of the 4th gen is pretty crappy...i notice when i go up and down hills the guage moves A LOT...which would happen also if you hit the brakes or accelerate...i think your ok

have you tried replacing the gauge itself. i think its something like $95 bones from honda. however, i broke off a needle doing a lighted gauge face install and was able to get the ENTIRE gauge assembly (tach, speedo, odo...) from a junk yard for only $50.

I also broke off a needle doing the "white face guages" thing...... I got a '91 cluster from junkyard for like $30...I took the old one out, and just plugged in the new one.
