gas gauges dooesnt move it just stays in one spot at all times

Default gas gauges dooesnt move it just stays in one spot at all times

anyone have any ideas on how to fix this my gas guage stays in one spot doesnt move at all all my other gauges work fine this one doesnt move

did you ever mess with the needle? or it may be your sending unit or the wiring it could be a few things. see if one of your friends could swap clusters for like 5 mins and see if it works. anyone else i no there could be other things i just listed a few.

oh and the only reason i said ask someone to put their cluster in knowing their gas works it wouldnt cost you anything and you can go from there.

Check the sending unit sensor. I don't believe you have to drop the tank to look at it. I think you can get to it from your back seat. There may be build up on the sensor or the "fingers" may be broken

do they mess up when you move them with your hand?


Mine was a wire behind the cluster that got cut somehow by the dashs sharp edges when i was moving my gauge cluster.

just had the same thing - my original 107k cluster died at least that part - swapped in a different cluster with no problems
