Tuning is going to make the differnece. Blox As should show some kind of improvement. I'm not sure what they compare to in terms of OEM cams, but i know the B's are similar to the ITR cams. The majority of the issue stems from the fact that it is untuned. You can PM a few of the ECU wizards around here and tell them about your setup...they'll set up a good ECU and map for your setup. Then you can choose whether or not to tune more from there...try contacting Phearable or Xenocron

are you sure B's are similar to itr cams, i thought b's are similar to skunk2 stage 2 and A's are similar to skunk2 stage 1 which is a lil better than itr cams.

Your best bet to get exact answers is to go to the All Motor forum. I can move this thread for you if you like, just reply yes or no...From what i remember, the B's are similar to ITRs. I had looked at getting a set a while back instead of ITRs

this is correct. B's are bigger than ITR cams by quite a bit, the A's are similar to the CTR/ITR grind beings they are copies of skunk 1s

I did a little research and I had them backwards. The As are more like the ITRs but a tad more aggressive. The Bs are more aggressive yet.

- STOCK 1997-1999 ITR

INTAKE lift - 11.5 mm, duration 240 @1mm
EXHAUST lift - 10.5mm, duration 235 @1mm

- STOCK CTR and 2000-2001 ITR

INTAKE lift - 11.5 mm, duration 243 @1mm
EXHAUST lift - 10.5mm, duration 235 @1mm

2. Blox (no @1mm specs available)

- Type A , Tuner Series

INTAKE lift - 11.7 mm, duration 247 @ 0.05 in.
EXHAUST lift - 10.7mm, duration 239 @0.05 in.

- Type B, Tuner Series

INTAKE lift - 12.4 mm, duration 266 @0.05 in.
EXHAUST lift - 12.0 mm, duration 266 @0.05 in.

**Moved for ya

thanks, yea but mine feels gay as of right now because my vtec pressure code keeps on popping up so i won't get a good run to see if the cams are good or not.

i tried everything for the check engine light already, check wires, switch new gasket, oil level is good, i took the oil pressure switch off today and crank the motor to see if any oil is shooting out(honda-tech member said to do this) and no oil is shooting out of the vtec pressure switch location at all when i crank the motor, but when i took the vtec pressure swtich out, there were oil coming out though. what could i do next?

I bet you do man...my engine has been out of my car since January. =( & due to life coming up I had other financial things to take care of. But its almost ready to go back in, hopefully if no rain this weekend. But I can't wait to crack VTEC again....I miss that sound so much!
Question: Did you have a baseline dyno run of your car before the cams? Just wondering what kinda gain to expect from them when u get tuned. I have a LS/VTEC that's semi-built.. just need a few things, like another intake manifold, cams, injectors, fuel rail & pump then get it re-tuned. Looking to push like 210whp @ least...fingers crossed!

Damn. That was something we all overlooked. I hope it works out for you. Im interested in seeing what kind of numbers you pull after the last Blox cam thread where a guy netted 192whp on a I/H/E/IM B18C1 with Blox Type B's.

no dyno yet, i just got my skunk2 intake manifold as well, everything's install as of right now, just that i'm missing the injectors insulator so my injectors doesn't sit all the way in, i'm just waiting on my injectors insulator, type r throttle cable and bracket from acura then i'll be set. i'll get a dyno tune after i get my header.

Make sure you use a tuning system like Neptune or Hondata etc and get it tuned or your car will fall flat on it's face the next time you "crack" VTEC (when you get it working again).
