type-s rsx's have the k20a2, which has around 200hp.

base rsx's have k20a3's, which have around 160hp.

k20a2>k20a3.

that's the only difference i know haha. i think the type-s has a six speed? i'm not too sure, i dont have one haha.

suspension and interior also have small differences. S FTW! Non S and EP3 share the same power plant. IMO the S is definetly worth the extra cash. Especially if you plan on modding.

about 40-50 HP, Compression, Interior, and Slight Exterior differences...Base has single cam VTEC and the Type-S has Dual-Cam VTEC...and then of course the Base is 5-Speed and the RSX-S is 6...those are most of the differences...you can go more in depth but that's the basics.

You're wrong and so is he.

02-04 Type S have the k20a2
05-06 Type S have the k20z1

Let me make it easy for you all since you're retarded and must not know how to use google.

Well yeah...if you're comparing stock RSX's to a Hatch with a GSR swap and boosted...those things weigh next to nothing.

no im saying how everyone thinks the type-s is fast but in reality it can only achieve high 14s by a professional driver aka by average joe low 15s

look at car and driver when they compared 5 compact sports cars, one of which was the type-s. I almost forgot to mention it came in last on the quarter mile.

Oh ok..yeah I see what your're saying...I think they are better boosted anyway though...faster and just overall nice ya know. It's definately an easy way to set yourself apart from all of the NA's and pretty much the only way you'll be satisfied with the speed. I'm sure your car probably runs a mean 1/4...when you get traction that is...lol

Unless you're an 09'er who really cares about the quarter mile? we all drive slow *** FWD cars. the Type S is not made to be fast in the quarter, just like the cherished TypeR was not all that quick in the quarter. It's easy to engineer a car to go fast and straight.

If you dont care about power then why buy the type S? I say it to my girlfriend all the time and I think she understands it now, " I would rather drive a older car that i enjoy driving everyday and get looks, then to drive something that everyone and there grandparents drive".

You're grandparents drive a Type S?
And this thread is about what is the difference between the 2...Not why you're butthurt because you can't afford one. So take you're older car, keep your looks and GTFO!
People don't buy Honda's to tear up the 1320 stock...

You can say the same thing about people that buy the NSX, the TypeR, and a myriad of other cars. The TypeS is more about handling and having a very well rounded driving machine. Not something that goes in a straight line quickly. Ok, now GTFO.

i guess the two above me missed when I said something, as in refering to new cars that everyone has. Not the type-s. Read the post above before you make a fool of yourself. On a side note though being in the military and not having many bills i could get an type-s but prefer my paid of civic.

you are making ZERO sense. You said nothing about other cars, and clearly stated, "if you don't care about power then why buy the TypeS?"

Speaking of making a full of yourself, you sound like an idiot that can't write legibly, nor make a coherent thought (if you need proof, one you can't spell referring correctly, and your last sentence sounds as educated as my ****).

I said and I will right it in bold since you can't read is" rather drive an older car done up then something aka newer car that everyone else drives

Would you like me to write it out for you again?
