i was wondering! is the car as loud as everyone says? is the loudness of the stock exhaust equal to that of an aftermarket exhaust? i dont post that often!! but i do read the topics!

On the side note, if you rate an average after market axhaust loundness at 8 (scale from 1-10), the stock ITR axhaust falls in around 5. 10 would be straight pipe and 9 would be Buddy Club spec ll.

 

i agree, the exhaust isn't loud. but remember that with no sound deadening everything seams louder, so you will notice everything more...but the exhuast sounds good in my opinion.

 

Without aftermarket intake, exhaust, header, catalytic converter, it's pretty quiet.

 

Yeah its not bad at all. You can carry a normal conversation with the passenger.

There is no way you can even hear the stock exhaust over the engine...expecially if you have an intake like AEM Cai.

 

I went from a Thermal R&D, which was a deep drone and kinda loud, to a very quiet stock exhaust. It's so quiet that I'm thinking of upping it to maybe a Hytech...

its not loud to any of us but.....

one time i got pulled over by the police and he said it was for illegal exhaust.

i said sir this is the stock exhaust.

officer: dont lie to me. i know when i hear an aftermarket exhaust. get that fixed.

The engine makes far more noise than the exhaust does. Going from an LS to an R exhaust, you wouldnt hear in the car.

 

I'm leaning towards go versus show now...
