Hey all,
I think I may have a problem and I don't have a lot of time to take the car in right now so I was hoping for some suggestions here.
First of all the car is a 97 Prelude SH with Koni Yellows/GC coilovers and springs.
What would cause the rear wheels to show negative camber? It seems it's just the rear drivers side. I'm starting to see some tire wear on the inside edge of the tire. Autox is coming up soon and I don't want to drive it like this. All the balljoints seem fine. Nothing seems really loose and the boots are not ripped at all.
Could it be the control arm bushings? A Toyota mechanic (friends neighbor) told me it's my shock. I refuse to believe that as I really don't want to warranty it
So what do you all think? S2000 time?

^agreed. get an alignment. i'm lowered on gc's also (stock shocks) and have between -1.0 and -1.5 degrees camber in the rear iirc. but it should be the same between both sides.

man I hope nothing is bent. I don't see how that would happen as I've never hit anything before.
I just swapped winter wheels/tires to my stockers and noticed inner tire wear. My last alignment in the rear was all good. Honda was able to align the rear end to factory specs. The front was a differnet story.
I cam getting some bushings in the front end soon so I'm going to have the mechanic look at the rear as well as align the car when the bushings are replaced. Hopefully it's just out of alignment for whatever reason.
btw, the car is not lowered that much at all. No more than an inch. Over the last two years of owning this setup I have not had any tire wear issues.
If nothing is bent then could something else cause this?

rear camber and toe specs from the factory are not conservative. i think they spec at least up to -1.0, maybe even -1.5 in the rear for camber, so even though you're in spec, you could still be eating tires. i'm having this problem right now. are you running different tires than before? lower treadwear tires will make this problem more evident.

The only thing I changed as of late was my 15 inch steelies with winter tires to my stock prelude wheels and the same tires I've been riding on for two years now with no problems until now.
I jacked the car up yesterday and took the wheel off. All the balljoints and bushings are in good shape so not too sure what might be causing this. The shock and coilover/spring is seated properly. So I just put the wheel back on and we'll see how it goes from there.
The only thing I can think of is when I installed the stock wheels back on, I forgot to torque them down and I went for a short drive then realized I didnt torque the wheels down. I then torqued them down but I didn't reseat the wheels so they may have been off a little?
