Can I use a CTR Piston on a forged rod?
I am doing a engine build and using a JDM CTR piston with crower rods, is that possible?or will i have to modify the pistons, to become a floating wrist pin design? If so what do I do. I am new to this, or should I use stock rods and get them shot peened and etc.
Don't use PCT/CTR pistons. If you want a forged rod then use a forged (floating wrist pin) piston.

^^^ It think you missed my point. Don't use CTR/PCT pistons. ITR/Rs machine pistons will yield the same or better power on 93 octane.
Also, why waste money on shot peening and nickel coating? Save that money for a good header or decent cams.

^^^Bad chemistry on the surface of a rod, sounds like a win to me. Perfect way to lower the strength of a rod and make it nice and shiny.
