My brake lights went out on my 90 DA RS... all bulbs and fuses are good when I checked... I went ahead and replaced the stoplight switch but still no brake lights... does anybody know what else I should check for? Any help would be greatly appreciated...thanks HT

 

Try a volt meter at the bulb connector, from the switch and anywhere in between if possible.

 

unfortunately, I dont have access to a voltmeter right now, but I will do that as soon as I get one. So do you it might be the relay?

 

i dont think there is a relay in that circuit, its just a switch at the pedal..
you could also get a test light, its cheaper, faster and sounds like it would make the most sense to use in your situation

also do the running lights in the back light up when the headlights are on?
