Default Transmission Fluid question

I drive a 97 2.2 Cl auto, and my transmission fluid was leaking yesterday onto my garage floor. I added 1 1/2 quarts of my Jeep's tranny fluid into my CL just to drive it over to the mechanic. He replaced a faulty hose but he didnt flush out the transmission and the Jeep tranny fluid is still in there. He told me that it is OKAY to run 1 1/2 quarts of my jeep's fluid and that it is safe because there is a total of 17 quarts of transmission oil running in my transmission.

My question is this, is it okay to use my jeep's tranny fluid with my CL?
And if I flush my transmission would 17 quarts come flushing out?

Thanks

Trans will drain 3 quarts and it holds 5-6 qts total. Get that crap out of there.
