Deck height and milling question (searched already)
like the title says, i searched.
so, what is the deck height of a B18c5 block?
and what is the deck height of a b18b block?
i do not rust the compression calculator sites and i have read several different things on here by searching.
i am putting b18b rods and crank in my b18c5 block. i am looking for around 12:1 compression, so i need to know what pistons to get to yield this compression with this setup.
i also plan on getting the block and head resurfaced, probably .010 off the block and and the same for the head, to take off a total of .020. i figure if the b18c5 block is taller than the b18b, i could probably take off .020 off the block and do like .005 off the head.
what do you guys think, does this sound kinda off, or am i on the right track here. the goal is to use an OE type piston like a pr3 or something along those lines to get me where i want to be compression wise.
