Hi guys, i saw an intake manifold on craigslist, guy says its from a 95 civic ex. My question is, how can I see if the IM really is from a d16z6? thanks in advance

 

An LS intake looks alike but oviously wount fit and a y8 intake is fatter so to speak. Non-vtec plenums are really small or on obd2 vehicles the non-vtec intake's have no plenum. Hope this helps

 

so basically its just by looks? there isnt a code or something on the IM to look for?

 

Im not positive but if you mean a head code on the intake if there is your looking for P08-# stamped on the intake but I've only seen this on the throttle cable bracket. # means the series usually 2 throu 5 (example --> P08-3)

 

I just looked it up and you should find the casting "P08 HF-1" on the intake sorry bout the confusion it's been awhile since ive looked at these details

 

so if i see p08-hf-1, im in the good, its from a d16z6?

 

as long as u see P08 stamped on the manifold your good
