Default unorthodox crank pulley

Yo.
I was just wondering if this is a good investment.
There's not much info online about these, so I'd like to get some.
Personally, I'd like to know if these are lighter, or smaller

Ive heard bad things about these and all light pulleys. Check out this link below it for a shaved pulley, if your not running with ac this is the way to go plus it gives you clearance

I had an unorthodox pulley. I removed it to do some maintenance and i just destroyed it in the process, I ended up having to fabricate a special "crank pulley removal tool" to keep the pulley from spinning. i'm guessing that the aluminum compresses when the pulley bolt is tightened.
but if you have a huge compressor removal might not be such a huge problem.

and yes its lghter and smaller, its an underdrive pulley so it spins the alternator slower, so if you have a huge system it might not put out enough power for it.

also you probably wont be able to feel the difference.
I now have shaved (and balance) pulley.
btw go to their website if you want info

Ive heard bad things about lightened crank pulleys transfering harmonics and ruining oil pumps.

By lightened do you referring to aftermarket 'light' pulleys or does that include shaved stock pulleys aswell?

thanks,

DunkD is the man, I've seen his pulleys in person and they are artwork. His methods dont throw of the harmonic balancing but you do have to use a 92+ d seriers crank pulley (if your running a D ), the 88_91 just go to hell for some reason? Thats the way to go

i have heard they cause vibration, ruining this and that.
but the stock pulley is all metal too.
so i dont understand how an all metal crank pulley absorbs any harmonics.

but honda knows a thing or too and i tend to trust thier stuff
i would go with a shaved stock pulley.

Only the first half of the 88 Si's were all metal, and the D15 ones that dont have as long a stroke. The rest have a rubber ring inside them.

You can't shave the 88-91 pulley, contact DunkD and he'll explain. Go with one from a Z6, thats the one he recomends.
