Default shift linkage

So i put a b16 in my 90 crx si. I go to take her for a spin and i hit 2nd kind of hard and the shifter falls out. like under neath the car where the linkage gose in the the other linkage bushing. the one that bolts to the tranny. i need help im confused. i have the ef to b hasport linkage and everything. And my rpm gauge gose crazy when i jump on it jumps all around anything i can do to fix that

Do you mean the stabalizer bar with the round bushing in it? The hole might be stripped i'v seen it happen a few times where it feels tight but it works itself loose.

Or do you mean the actual linkage that hooks to the trans? If that falls out, the "bitch" pin which is a small expanding pin is not in the linkage.

Iv'e never seen the "bitch Pin" fall out. That is usually a bitch to get out in the first place. I think he is talking about the bushing assembly right before the tranny. Mine wore out and actually cause me to have difficulty getting into 5th and R.

Just drill the rivets on each side so seperate the original bushing. Go to home depot and buy two rubber stoppers (hardware). Drill a hole in both stoppers, run put on on each side of the hole, get a 1/4 X 2.5 bolt w/ nut and run it through the original bushing holes and the rubber stoppers and torque it down. It will be as tight as new...

I have a quick question and I cant post a new thread yet so bear with me. I have a 89 Civic Wagon and Im doing a OBD1 and Hydro tranny conversion. Can I use a a B series cable shift linkage or do I need to use a hydro B series shift linkage?
