Default Some Help on my Tow Hook

Hey i was wondering, i just got a Datum 1 Back tow hook from a friend. and i bought it for $20 and its blue. i dont like it blue. i would rather have it polished. is thier any way of removing the paint? ive tried Tal-Strip 2 Aircraft Coating Remover. And it didnt get any thing off. i think the gloss came off that's about it. Can anyone give me some hint's or tips? thanks in advance!

when i used it on my vc to get old clearcoat and paint off if took me 3-4 good coats and about 90 minutes of waiting til it was completely stripped. you can try it again and see what happens... not like its going to hurt anthing.

im not a fan of chemical stripper to be honest...seems stupid to me. You generally strip something to paint or polish..well the chemical stripper is gonna leave the original material just ****ed and nasty as it was before so why not sand it and them chem what you cant get to so atleast it'll look better and feel smoother.
