I know everyone drools over these cars, but I think the whole body kit thing kills the sweet lines of a factory bodied 60s Stang.

Exactly. The body kit looks like **** and the fitment on the front is awful.

 

That body is completely stock if i'm not mistaken.

Edit: Are you guys talking about the body kit that Shelby put on there?

 

The original Shelby front end looks like the one below. The car in the original post has an aftermarket "eleanor" body kit and billet grills and a bunch of fog lights, big side skirts for side exit exhaust etc.

 

And the hood looks like a boxer with a broken nose.

I looked up some GT500E's on Google and they all seem to look like that?

 

The paintjob on that car is perfect. I like all of the pictures except #6. The Black and white ruins the natural car color and the boring background doesn't help.

#7 and #1 are my favs.

 

Yeah, the thing with this car is, it is a GT 500-E. This car was designed after Gone In 60 Seconds. The body kit was actually designed by Chip Foose if Im not mistaken.

The really Neat thing is that the Mustang, isnt really a Mustang anymore. they basically chop the front end off and build a tube chassis to support the new coilover setup and motor. the rear end has a whole new assembly with custom mounted double-adjustable coilovers.

Great pics, but I'm not a fan of the vehicle itself. A pro touring type muscle car needs bigger wheels and the body looks like a floating piece of fiberglass to me.

Original version looks far better. That car just ain't workin. Nice pics though!

 

Yeah, not alot of people are in favor of the body modifications... I wish I could show you pictures of the chassis and suspension work. To me, thats where its at.


BTW, the car does sit on 315's.

The original GT500 is cooler IMO. This one is still kick ***. Nice pictures!
