ITR cams in B18C GSR
hey guys, i'm a newbie and my questions for you are: will the USDM ITR cams fit in JDM B18C GSR? and how much power am i gaining in doing so estimates? and do i have to tune it after installed them???? thanks
you should tune or get a chipped ecu that can run the proper fuel map since you will have a higher lift.. you will get around 10-12 hp depending on your mods.. i recommend a tune.. they do fit
I'd get an aftermarket single runner intake manifold also, then get a tune. That way it will run close to an itr setup.
actually, right now i'm running on the skunk2 pro IM and 70mm TB (which is where i'm loosing a bit of power there), i will put a smaller TB like about 64mm, hope that will help.
i would also recommend valvesprings and retainers.. i saw an itr break a retainer and if you are familiar with heads you would know what happens when you drop a valve into a high revving motor.

hm, sounds like too much work and i dont know much about it. i wanna do all motor, but i dont know how to do it myself and too risky to mess with it, it's still better to have a jdm b18c now then if i messed it and no turn back, so that will cost me tons of money hahahh thanks

actually its not too bad... it seems like its difficult but not too bad... i thought it was difficult when i was learning, but i like to let people know to do things right the first time.. especially if you are taking the cams out anyway
, ppl said i can just put the ITR cams in and get it tune but other said valvetrain needed so i'm confused there.
