Default driver door window not working

Bought a 97 integra the other day and i am trying to find out why my driver side window will not work. Passenger side window works fine, so does the child lock for it. I also notice while the car is running their is a clicking noise coming from the driver side door. rpms will drop for a second when the click happens then is normal again. When trying to put the window down their is nothing at all. I tried a new switch and it still will not work. I am thinking that it is the motor but i wanted to get some insite on the clicking noise, could it be that box that is on the door, what is it anyways? thanks.

sounds like bad regulator. pull the door pannel and find ur leads going to the window regualor splice into them and hook a battery charger to them and place it on a trick charge and plug it in. if the window goes down its in ur wiring and if it dont move the reg. is shot. We do this at the shop all the time to test bad window regs.
Note> make sure u swap the positive and ng leeds around in the wire to make sure ur not rolling the window up.

I don't know about the clicking, but an easy thing to check is the door's wiring harness where it snap-connects to the main harness. Unplug it and see if a pin is bent/folded over.

When I bought my GSR, all the electrical in the passenger door was out. I knew body work was done on the passenger door, so I checked the harness plug and a pin was folded over. A small flat-bladed screwdriver solved that problem.

I'm having a similar problem in my 94' integra, my power door locks won't work on either door, and neither will my sunroof. Everything else electrical is fine.

Where exactly does the DOOR harness connect to the MAIN harness?
Would help us both out, thanks.

Don't know about that one. That almost sounds like a fuse or relay problem off hand (I think those are 10 or 20 amp circuits). I believe there's a power door lock "controller" behind the driver's door panel though, which is probably the box that fergs96integra is referring to. It's been quite a while since I had my door panel off, and the rain is discouraging me from grabbing my service manual from the garage.

When you open the driver or passanger door, viewed from the inside, you'll see where all the electrical wiring enters either door. And right where it enters the door it looks like a large rectangular boot. That's your snap connector, but you need to remove the door panels in order to access it. The door panels are a pain in the butt too.

The only reason someone would have to disconnect it though is if they removed the door. So unless your car has been in an accident or something similar I doubt if that would be your problem. Not unless something is wrong with the door lock "controller", but that doesn't explain your moonroof.

If you want a service manual for diagnostic purposes you can get them at one of these two locations...
