Default Put my new motor in and it overheats.. and its not hitting VTEC?? code 41

Ok I put my new motor in b18c1.. Took it for a drive.. Few problems.. Car warmed up fast, little to fast stayed in the middle for a few then started overheating.... And i got on it a little before it started overheating and I dont believe it hit vtec.... felt reallyyy slow.. It pulls a code 41 for o2 sensor heater or something.. I am obd1 now too.. I tried to put a thermostat in and started it up.. overheated quick again.. today i let the car run with the cap off and a lot of air came out.. then after a long time the antifreeze started rising and coming out of the radiator? normal or not i dunno.. but i shut the car off then started it up a second later (with the cap off) and coolant went EVERYWHERE.. car never started to over heat though.. then i filled the coolant back up.. made sure no bubbles were left put cap on.. let run for awhileee.. didnt start to overheat.. didnt take it on a drive though so not sure if ita overheat in higher rev's or not? Please give me some advice on what I should do I would appreciate it.. And would code 41 make my vtec not hit?? (is there a thread for an obd0 to obd1 jumper harness wire diagram??) want to make sure all the wires are ran right.. bought it off some kid with all plugs already wired.

change the thermostat and radiator cap to start.....and flush the radiator while you're at it and see if it helps

It sounds like there was air in the system causing it to overheat but then you bled the air from the system, fixing the problem.

Ofourse it can. For the same reason your car will overheat without ANY coolant in it.

LOL.

Code 41 will make your VTEC not work, but honestly why would you try and hit vtec if your car is overheating? Anything fuel related will make VTEC non operational.

Has the car overheated yet after changing?

make sure o2 is pluged in and or you might have your wiring wrong as far as over heatting put thearmo in a pot of boiling water to see it it opens and closes if it does then your good if not you need a new one sec check waterpump it might be going bad

Reasons for code 41
If it is a hard code= codes before cranking engine after ecm reset. Thenyou probably need to check the wiring between jumper harness and 4wire O2 sensor connector. If it codes only after the engine starts after an ecm reset maybe you just a have a bad 4 wire O2 sensor. Check those wires

it pulls the code after i start the motor
