Curious if anyone here has installed a venom 400 on an h23, I just did and dont notice much improvement. Just wondering if I pissed away $350.

 

Pardon my ignorance, but what's a Venom 400???

 

in my opinion, you should get a apexi controller vafc instead of the Venom400 which just controls fuel curve. I honestly don't think it's worth that much.

 

did you tune it on a dyno?

 

No Im not that high tech, just made the connections and took it out for a beating.

 

You just wasted $350. All it does is sends a signal that tells your ECU that you're @ WOT, when in reality you're only 3/4 throttle. So it basically advances your fuel/timing a bit. The stupid thing is that when you ARE @ WOT, it doesn't do anything extra. Sell it and get some REAL mods.

 

So ahh....Anybody wanna buy an almost new venom 400??

 

return it and get your $$ back

I'll probably be packin that dog up real soon, the car is an auto, and I think its messing up the shift timing, it just started stumbling on the upshift pretty bad....maybe its time to swap in a five speed

 

One of my friends had a Venom 400 controller in his h23 prelude and he ran the same times with it on as hed did before he had it. He did like .02 sec better with the controller off. The countroller does mess with the shift patterns of automatics.

Why would you get a vafc on a H23? Already swap out the heads on it? Do you mean a safc?
