Default main pulley

Why do some people say Unothordox pulleys are not that great due to it has no damper. What does the damper do or a harmonic balancer? ASking this question becaase im planning to get a pulley for my b20, so is unthordox the choice or not? Let me know interested in some facts. thanks.

I'd rather stick with the stock one if you're not getting the bottom end balanced anytime soon.

Yeah, I would too but then theres a little chip on it so then it makes it unbalanced and I'm kinda worried about it.

Just make the same size chip on the opposite side.But really just get another new or used oem one that isn't damaged.

I had the problem with the chipped pulley as well. I took it to a machine shop and had this done.



I don't have the tools to do all the work but they shaved the power steering off and balanced it for me
