93 GSR. Cranking issue
Ok so ill try to break this down quick and to the point and describe it the best i can. Im thinking its just the battery, just havent got around to getting to a auto parts store to have the alternator/battery tested.
So say i start the car, go drive for awhile, then turn it off and go in a store or something. I come back out, if its been setting for awhile, and it seems really weak turning over, but usually starts with no ibig deal, though the dash lights/interior lights dim very low when cranking alot of the time. So I went to work today @ 10:30, set the alarm, got off work @ 9:00 at night, car had been setting for 10 1/2 hours with the alarm on. Go to start the car, all the lights dim VERY low, and it wont even turn over even once, just a click sound. So im like FECKKK and go gather a crew to push start it since no jumper cables were around to try out. So i go back to the car after like 10 minutes and turn the key and it turns over sluggishly but anough to get it started, even though 10 minutes before it wouldnt even turn over once. So i get it up and going, drive it home without stopping, turn it off and it cranks right back up with no problems at all, like its got full power back.
So to be, it seems like possible grounds since it didnt wanna do nothing then all of a sudden did, but most likely time for a new battery. Also i'd suspect the alternator not keeping the battery charged anough, but that wouldnt explain why it can be drove, turned off, and crank right back up. But then when you let it set, it gets hard to crank...
So that prety much explains it, sound like the batterys just not holding power to you guys? Ive never had issues with electrical/igntion problems on any of my previous cars, so im not 100% sure. Ill make it to autozone or advanced sometime in the next day or two just wanted to get a good idea ahead of time
TIA.

yep sounds like a weak battery, they do strange things. you can use a voltmeter to check your alternator it should be putting out around 12-13 volts while at idle.

Well i just did a simple voltmeter test after the car had been drivin for about 20 minutes
12.68v was my reading on the battery with the car off.
14.38v was my reding on the battery with the car idling. (Ive read that thats pretty much a normal reading for alternator voltage output correct?)
So i set the alarm and ima let it set with the alarm on for a few hours and go test the battery again after its had time to drain if its going to, then i guess ill be buying a new battery (hopefully thats all, dont feel like having to replace the alternator lol)

Whats a good replacement battery that isnt over $100 that will fit in the stock 90-93 integra battery tray in the engine bay? The one I have now is a OEM one, says 100 month warranty on it im sure it probably hasnt been 100 months since it was bought but i dont have a receipt from it lol (Came in the car when i bought) Should I just get another OEM one? ($65, aint bad)

Well I went to Honda today and got a replacement. 31500-SR1-100M was the one i had, they had the same ones in stock. $86.06 total, not to bad. Cranks far easier than it ever has since i've owned the car. We'll see how it does for a few days to know if it was 100% sure the only problem. I also got a 2 gauge battery ground wire replacement and cleaned up the chassis area it grounded too and put the new one on and replaced the positive battery cable terminal. So everythings good and starts without a problem, for now anyway... for good hopefully
Just updating for reference if anyone in the future has this problem and searches.
The battery fixed the problem. No more weak cranking after setting without driving for 2 days, still cranks like it did when i first put it in.
