I agree with the guy above.....You could also search while saving money and see if you can come across any deals on either of them save you some money.
One thing to keep in mind is what kind of struts you are planning on getting in the future - I know the ground control sleeve is different depending on the strut you have, the sleeve for the stock strut is not the same as the sleeve for koni, and other struts their own specific sleeve too.
Also, keep in mind the spring rates that the stock strut can handle are less than what many aftermarket struts can handle - so choose your spring rate accordingly.

I would go with koni yellows with matching ground control sleeves with custom spring rates, i.e. street, track, race. I have this set up and I can never be happier with it.
$800 is well worth the money. Just look for sponsors on hondamarketplace under suspension.

Full coilovers are the way to go but if you cant afford them, to answer your question theh are both pretty much the same. So personal preferance.
