What's this ITR REALLY worth?

What's this ITR REALLY worth?
I've been looking for a car to buy, this seems like a decent car. BUT it needs paint/body work, doesn't have the original motor and tranny, and it has a salvage title.
He's asking $9k obo, but I know it's not worth near that. What do you guys think I should offer?

2001 PY TYPE-R
EXTERIOR: Completely stock
Interior: stock
MOTOR:
98gsr swap with
CTR pistons just resenly installed
BLOX intake manyfold
ACT clutch kit
TYPE-R red valve cover
R-1 headers 4-1
TRANSMISSION:
99-00 Si S4
new axels
car runs real strong car comes with h&r lowering springs and GREEDY SP catback
this is my every day car i never had no problems with it but is time to move on.
THE BAD:
car has some dings and scraches here and there on the roof and the passenger side piler
it needs tires
and it needs struts
it needs a new hood it has a few dents on it
and i would say it needs a new paint job
miles on the car 79k
title: SALVAGE REBUILT do to theft
it is currenly registerd in Columbia,SouthCarolina
im looking to trade for hatches with swaps prefer EK's or a REAL JDM RHD CARS $9000 obo plz lowballers will be ignored!!!!!!!!!

its ok but ive seen salvage title itrs go for 6500 make sure ur not getting screwed looks like everything is there jus make sure whatever is stolen is replaced by itr not ls

either way its going to cost at least $1500-2000 for paint and body work. Then finding the correct engine and tranny. Plus it will still have the salvage title.
I'll figure out a decent offer to make, but I doubt he'll take it.

u have to think about the money its going to take u to get this into its original nice form.. add 6k for the paint and swap and it brings it up to 15k... still with a r-title....
screw that offer him like 6.5k

You could probably import a JDM ITR from New Zealand for close to that price. I picked mine up for $7,500NZD (i live in NZ btw) which is about $3,750USD then shipping ontop of that from NZ to US...

Car looks pretty beat up.... it is probably worth $6-$6.5k. Anyways, it looks like some genious installed shifter the wrong way.....

I'll offer him $6500, but I doubt he'll take it..Most people think just because it's an ITR means it worth a ****ton of money, even if its been abused.

I was under the impression that CTR pistons + GSR head = bad news. With no other information about the engine build, that would make me skeptical about the quality of the motor, further decreasing the price. Really, unless you're absolutely itching for an R project, I'd think there are much better deals out there.

That car is salvage title ****, I have seen insurance auctions that look better than that go for 4-5k.
