A friend of mine just recently bought a tranny for his swap from a not so local junk yard. The tranny is supposed to be from a later model GSR. IS there any way that I can identify the transmission? Any castings that would let me in on what year or model? Thanks, just a little worried that this guy might have sent him a ls tranny thinking he wouldnt know any better.

it should be stamped...you can run the vin# too.
