Default so i was thinking tailights + film tint

i was thinking if i should get these ebay taillights and put red film tint over them to give them a more regular taillight look. i HATE how the clear taillights look.

imput?

Yes I have, he did the tails on my Dub. Had them done over 2 years ago and they are as good as new, still smooth as glass.

I tried using that window tint film on mine. absolute pain in the ***! ended up not working at all. i went and got some 2000 grit wetsand paper and some spray paint thats used for rc cars, the color was actually called "window tint". that worked very well and only cost me like $12.

Theres so many options. Either get replacement tail lights already with the finish you want, spray it, or film tint. Really comes down to your budget and what you like the most.
