Default jdm front suggestions?

I'm in the market to buy a Japanese front end within the next week. Can anyone suggest a good reputable place to buy one from? Checked with password and their pretty expensive and possibly my last resort, eBay has some but I'm kinda leery about buying a complete front end from someone on eBay. Thanks in advance

BTW, here is the link to the eBay front. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/JDM-I...Q5fAccessories

JDM fronts are over rated in my opinion, I say don't get it because you need to run the JDM rad. support, this will make your car weaker in the front...But it's your choice!

I'm about 1,000 miles away so he would have to ship it.

The only problem with my 98-01 front is that my rad support is already bent from a previous wreck, i hate half *** body shop. Nationwide IS NOT on your side.

Thanks for the input.

I'd like to hear an explanation of this claim, maybe some evidence!
Being that the frame of a jdm integra is the same and a usdm simply the core support is changed to accomidate the different front bumper, hood, and headlights. The only way i could see swaping the core support as weakening the frame is if it is not done rite or the core support has been previously damaged. Also the core support has very little stuctual integrity and plays a small small part in supporting anything other than the rad. core. But please if im wrong correct me with some evidence of this claim.

That's a serious accusation to throw out. Could you please show us what you are talking about?

some of the canadian sellers have been dumping these around 1000 shipped for an sir-g or 1200 for ITR. only the HID fronts have been holding at or sometimes above 1500 shipped.

the seller you posted also seems like a great place to go. he's competitive with prices and offers help if you need it with the install. when i was considering a jdm front he is one of the people that i most likely would have bought from. then a 98+ conversion turned up with great OEM lights for $250

There is no evidence and his claim is false. The JDM radiator support is no stronger nor weaker than the USDM version.

Maybe he was thinking of the bumper extension, which is really just a pole compared to the USDM thick impact beam.

Thanks everyone for the input. The seller seems legit, i tried to check out his profile and everything seems normal. I think the only way the jdm front support would be weaker is if you bolt it up instead of weld it in place of the existing usdm support.

i really appreciate all the input, this is a huge purchase for me to make to someone i've never even met before.. hope everything goes good.

I would do it. I just got mines installed for $1450 with CW w/ JDM OEM lip. Cut and T-welded. Although I have to say the front radiator supports seams to be weak. I say that because it flexes when I put little to no force with the palm of my hand which came to a surprise.

Thanks for the heads up. I am awaiting a reply from him on one of these front ends, price is cheaper, but i might end up getting one from password if the other guy has fake parts.

I believe you guys are reffering to Kenny (the seller from ebay). I did business with him a year ago. I got a complete front end from him. I was willing to drive all the way to Santa Ana, Ca. (were he lives) to get it installed for a pretty good deal. He's legit. NO FAKE PARTS!
