my 91 dx crx with a b18a1 swapped when i give it more than 3/4 throttle it boggs hard my ecu is throwing a iac code if this is bad will it cause my car to do this?? or is it becouse i am running a p06 ecu...oh yea it is also converted to obd1 plz help

 

Is it a chipped p06 running an LS basemap? This is definatly going to be your problem if it isn't chipped because it doesn't have the correct amount of fuel being added into the motor. The car is running Lean thats why you are getting the bogging. If you want to keep your motor running I suggest not driving it until you either get it chipped or get a p75 ECU (b18b1 obd1). The Idle Air Control Valve just allows your car to idle correctly, it adds and removes fuel to have a nice steady idle.

 

so if i chip my p06 it will be fine? and i dont need to worry bout the iac rite away?

 

Yes just chip your p06 with a LS basemap and you will be fine. Is the IACV plugged in? You may just need to remove it and clean it out and tighten up the screw on the inside because sometimes they back themselves out. Where are you in ohio?

 

ok cool im from girard its by youngstown...but i am ordering my chip frome xenocron.com n my buddy said he will run the map and install it as far as the iac im gonna tear it off tonite and clean it up and see what happens
