Default Idle Surge?

I just swapped my EG from OBD1 single cam to OBD0 B16A.. I got the OBD1 manifold and headers for it so everything is OBD1 now. I used a P72 GSR ecu at first and it made the car idle at 3K, then i went to a P28 and the car idles atlike 1500 and surges to 2K at a stand still ... Is it the mapping og the ECU (the GSR was burnt out with no chip[ so yea i threw that away) but if i go P30 will the idle surge stop?... i kno when i was using the GSR ecu there are 2 holes in the left side of the throttle boddy, and when i plug them up with my fingers it idled down. Will going with a P30 fix my problem or do i have to go nuts to find a vaccuum leak?

the top hole in the throttle body is for your idle air control motor, the bottom hole is the air passage for your fast idle thermo valve, which is like a thermostat that lets air past the throttle plate to bump idle up during cold starts-what i would do is run the right ecu and take the little round plate off the back of the throttle bdoy and use a flat screw driver to adjust your fast idle while the engine is running but still cold, should solve your problem

Make sure your Intake Manifold is bolted down tightly

check for vaccumm leaks if not leaks turn on your car get a can of break cleaner and spray it around the IM when you spray it around the IM and the idle goes up you have a vaccumm leak from the IM its self
