Help me find a good quality cheap canister muffler
Hey guys....im looking for a decent quality canister muffler I can use for a project. Im on a real tight budget though. I need something 2 1/4 or 2.5 inlet with a 4 inch tip. Do you guys know of anything thats legit, cheap and will hold upto a DD? Universal can is fine! Doesnt have to be for a honda.

Whats a mazada? You mean mazda I think. Im pretty sure I know its a honda forum. But in the mazda world, nobody makes the kind of exhaust im talking about here. So im looking to other boards, where members may have some input. Now, if you would like to give this forum a bad name; you can keep with your negative comments. On the other hand, you could help. If none of those options work, you can stfu. I've been to a few honda-tech meets locally, and liked the people. So i figured i would ask for some direction.
So let me get this straight... You want US Honda-Tech to help YOU find a GOD Quality Cheap Canister muffler? I dont think we know a muffler that is that god quality. hmmmm. Apexi is what id google for a good quality one.
what kind of mazda is it going for? and what are you trying to do? just go for a better sound or looks or just ricing it out?
I have a miata that I use for autocross. I have a 4-2-1 header, into a midpipe..but nothing after that. So im going to have a custom pipe bent up and then at the end weld on a canister muffler. Just looking for something thats going to have a low tone, not loud and raspy. But its also kind of a budget track car, so im keeping price in mind aswell.
I didnt come to honda-tech to cause problems. I think I was pretty polite, and just in search of some help from knowledgeable car guys who may know of something that I dont.

If nobody makes the kind of exhaust your talking about, simply have if made. if your not trying to have a crush bent exhaust, then get some straight piping in your desired size, and buy some mandrel bent elbows, with a muffler.
---nevermind just saw the post above, looks like all you have left to do is get the muffler. apex'i is probably gonna be your best bet for semi cheap/quaity muffer.

I am having something built....and im in search of a muffler. Have I not made that clear? I dont know. But im asking if you know of any good quality mufflers at a price say.under $200 for the muffler. Trust me, I dont want an awful sound. Ive heard the Megan racing mufflers have a nice deep tone.
The apexi's have a nice low tone but it all depends on how your exhaust is set up. cause that same muffler will sound low and deep on one car . and loud and raspy on a straight pipe car 2.1/4 exhaust. me i personally been through 5 mufflers and gave up looking for a good sound. You want a good sound either dump headers or run Cat open. with the cat on only and no other exhaust it will be so daam deep. i been open headers for a long time now maybe 2 years and i don't get tired of it. nothing annoys me more than a rice muffler.

I agree, I HATE obnoxious sounding cars. They are laughable. Thanks for the link. A miata guy in Cali is going to do the setup I want with an Apexi, so im waiting for pics/sound clips. Thanks for your help man, much appreciated!
get a 2-chamber turbo muffler from someone like thrush or summit. they cost like $30 and have a nice, low-key sound. have one on my civic and i love it. also not a cop magnet!!
