Suggestions for suspension
Hey guys, i just bought H&R race springs for my EJ8 I was just wondering whats a good shock to put these on? Right now going to put them on my Tokico blues but want to know what to look for...
Any suggestions?

ive got the tokico illumina adjustables, coilover system. i love them, definitely better out there but these were about 800 new, paid 100 bucks for them when my friend wrecked his teg
such a good deal i couldnt pass it up! Id also suggest checking into the KSport coilover system in the future, im hearing nothing but good things about them. But if youre on a budget id stay with some tokicos

Koni yellows, tokico illuminas, there's a slew of different options. I've heard some bad stuff about Ksport and Omni, stay away from those and get the proven name brands
Well i have an older brother that wants to kill me for lowering my car already for all the strain on balljoints and such, i've been told from a couple people with my tokico blues its going to be one hell of a bumpy ride, is that just with the blues or will it get better with better shocks that i get, i was thinking Koni yellows(expensive), KYB adjustables, or Groundcontrol(if i win the lottery).
my buddy has a set of tokico blues with skunk2 coilovers and that thing rides like glass man. as far as ball joints, get a camber kit. ive had my car lowered for about 3 years and havent had to replace any of the ball joints yet. IMO the higher dollar name brand stuff is just preference or personal opinion.
i wouldnt waste my money on tokico blues since they are just like stock replacement.
if you want to do things right and have it stay that way, i would suggest saving up for some koni yellows. i had a koni/neuspeed race spring combo on my ej6 and it was a pretty decent ride for the street. probably would be similar with h&r race springs. the drop on it was pretty perfect enough for me, but that was on a hatch (if you want pics pm me), the rear would probably sit a little bit lower on a coup/sedan. i've never had any problems with any of my balljoints, tie rod ends, or axles, and that's without a camber kit. plus if you ever run into one of the koni's going bad, you can have it rebuilt for a price.
you could also go with tokico illuminas, ive heard good things from people about those also.

Well today i did my springs onto my blues and it wasnt what i thought it would be going from H&R sports to H&R race springs. My rear was lower than my front but i was expecting to tuck tire but theres one finger tire gap. I dont know if they have to settle or if i need shorter shocks but next winter putting the sports back in and summer grabbing Konis with my race springs and see whats going to happen.. plans also to do a motor swap Sick of this y8
my ej1 is currently on tokico blues with no name coilover sleeves. my friend is on tokico illuminas with the same stupid coilovers and his car rides way nicer than mine. illuminas ftw
