Default Extended top hats

A while back I remember somebody here was making and selling nice quality extended top hats for Hondas, anyone know where that thread went? I've been looking and found a DIY but the link is broken or doesn't exist, and I don't have a welder to make my own. Any help is appreciated.

I made a couple for a friend, here's a pic of one I made last year with some scrap lying around:

I put some clay on top of the front shock, closed the hood, and measured it so it wouldn't hit the hood on my CRX:

If you make your own you can also extend them the amount you want, specific to your suspension. When I had my Konis on my CRX I found that I really only needed ~.75" or so in the front.

That levelzeromotorsports place has a very nice piece. If I had the money I would buy that in a heart beat...however, I'm looking for something a bit cheaper.

eek! 165$!!!

On a side note how do you determine how much additional space you need? Or do you just shoot for the stars and try to get as much room as you can get under the hood...

Generally people with really dumped cars take as much as they can get in the front, in the back where it's more or less unlimited I try to eliminate the droop and take up the slack so the spring doesn't drop at full droop.
