tach is working in my ek. but my speedo is not.

b16a2, and si gauge in a 97 hatch.

that's for what would be the stock motor. will this work for my b16?

 

Is the CEL ON? Do the tripmeter or odometer work? Is fuse 15 blown?

 

happened right before i got home, and there was a cel. lemme go run my car for like ten minutes to see if it comes back up (the cel), and pull the code to make sure. good thing i have my volt meter.

too many cars at my house, i will have to wait for a few hours before i can check. i park my ek in the garage b/c of thieves. the cel, if it comes back on, won't light unless i'm driving. (off to find a spare wire to make a jumper.)

the fuse? i have to figure out how to use the voltmeter. (instead of asking HT i'll page a friend since its his.)

sorry, i'm new to fixing hondas, especially anything electronic, although i did replace pads and rotors on my brother's accord yesterday.

 

update:

it was the VSS. so happen right after the VSS was fixed, the alternator died along with the battery.

there was a crimp in the wire going to the fuel pump, causing voltages to be off and battery not charging correctly and maybe causing my alternator to crap out and (one more) my VSS to die.

it was either what i typed above or my car was in really bad shape. >.<
