Need info about removing abs on a 01 gsr
I have a 01 gsr and I want to remove the abs because im gonna do a engine bay tuck and shave.
Question is if I remove it do I need to get different brake lines and a proportional valve.

I believe just prop valve david...Thing is if you ever want to have abs again, your going to have a hell of a time, you will need someone with an engine diag. scanner to bleed your abs lines...And will have to tune out or delete out all abs codes, so that your wheels sensors don't trip, and want to lock your wheels up, but cant.... 40/40 prop non abs is what you need david. GL with that.
well cars with abs dont have proportional valves, they have abs so obviously you would need it, what do you think its just gonna be brake lines straight from the master to the calipers
Dude what are you talking about...All integras have prop valves, the abs system work in conjuction with it...meaning it will be different from a non abs prop valve....Do you know what a prop valve is? and what an electrical abs solenoid valve is? ABS system work electrically in conjunction with WSS, so that your tires don't lock when you slam on your brakes, the front wheel drive car works on a three channel ABS system...An ABS electronic control module known as the EBCM controls the ABS, the prop valve controls the amount of hydraulic fluid being delivered to front and rear caliper pistons...when you step on that brake pedal...Please know of what you are talking about before you give someone false information...I have A5 cert...I assure you that I know what I am talking about!

Every integra except the rs has abs. you need to take the abs out of your car along with the front brake lines only...you can leave the back brake lines in. Order front brake lines from acura for the rs teggy and a 40/40 proportioner valve for the rs too. then all you have to do is redo the lines in the front and your set.

Things you will need to delete ABS are:
4040 propvalve
two front RS lines
2 lines from master cylinder to propvalve
unless of course you are doing a brake line tuck..then you'll only need the prop valve and custom bend the lines to your liking

You can do what I did and got to the junk yard and get everything for about 30 bux. found the 40/40 valve on a DA for 10 bux and got the front brake lines off an eg(which are the same) And the line off the driver side of the master cylinder to the prop valve. The line off the pass side of the master cylinder can just be bent and re-flared. Very easy, and cheap if you take the time to look at at salvage yard.
I am correct that if i purchase these parts for my 99GSR it will bolt up and i will not need to cut or flare any of the lines?
True, just make sure they are for an RS. All I bought was the prop valve, good luck finding it you try to get a used one for 98+. Also, the prop valve for an 01 SI is a 40/40 so you can use on of those too. I rebent and double flared the existing lines. Fun project if you've got the patience and time.
im doing the same thing and i was going to make a thread on how to do it. good i searched it lol. Wat year eg can i get the brake lines off of? will this work also for a 96 teg? im guessing it does but just want to make sure.
