Default Front splitters and gators

I've become extremely aggressive on the gators. But now I'm installing a front splitter. I've never had a chance to drive up to a gator and get out and see what kind of clearance I have on the front bumper.

Are the gators now off limits?

I really don't want to go out on my first lap and rip my splitter off. But at the same time, I don't want to change my entire line for no reason.

I would think its definitely something that you would have to discover for yourself on your setup.

Height of the strips, ride height of the car, what type of splitter, etc would all play into the clearance.

Here's my P1 Spec splitter from RTA @ BW. It took the damage very well!

not bad. that exhaust looks familiar!

I usually find I only scrape the burms if i put 2 off, otherwise the splitter clears it.

The bottom of the air damn sits 4.5" off the ground. Add the splitter and it's about 4.2".

this is around that if not lower. if it hasn't left the vehicle yet i think your ok. i've seen this at summit a few times. i don't know if hes brutal on gators but your bound to get up on 'em regardless of attempts not to.

My splitter lasted two laps on VIR south. Went too hot into turn 1 and when into the grass. Apparently the dip off the track was just enough to bump the ground and shove the splitter upwards. I'll post a pick sometime.

Has anyone heard from Kiwi? He has not responded to any of my emails for over two weeks now.

Ground level after Turn 1 on South course VIR is about 3" lower then the black stuff. I was playing around with my brake bias and went in too hot. The tip of the splitter hit and shoved it upwards. It did not snap or break off though.

Airdam has a slight crack in it, but a little epoxy and it will be fine.
