D series = D series. The head will work on any d series block and the accessories will be the same. There should be a code stamped on the upper left of the head.

Yep timing belt is the same for all 1.6l and the alternator belt should be the same for all D series, 1.5l and 1.6l.

be sure to use the same timing belt as the head even if you got a different block.

All you really need to worry about it the head. you can still run the same ECU since you won't be changing your harness. The y7 has a crank fluctuation sensor on it so you will notice an extra plug I think. Other than that you should be good to go.

The general rule is that if you were to replace the head on a different block. You would use the timing belt from that head. So if you were to reuse the b7 head you would use a b7 timing belt on whatever block you are using.
The 1.5l are different. I said 1.6l

awesome ty.

i have a friend that will be doing it for me. i just wasnt sure. guy said he has a fully assembled y7 bottom end

so i should be able to just buy the bottom end and throw the head on it and just keep everything else the same then. great. that way i dont have to buy a bunch of other stuff cause im way tight on money lol

last question. do i keep my p28 that is currently in car since i will not be changing my current head

Yes. The ONLY thing different will be the bottom end.

Please stop. He is only swapping the bottom end. The head is a Z6 so he just needs to swap the block and put it all back in as if nothing has changed.

just reuse everything else. its just the block that youre changing and not the entire motor.
