p73 stock tune in p28... possible?
i have a obd1 gsr with type r internals... been looking for a few days now n cant seem to find exactly what im lookin for... im aware that obd1 and 2 roms r different.. is it possible to create an identcle tune of a p73 into a chipped p28? im sure it is and if so does ne one have one for sale or whilling to chip out a p28 and program it for me? would it be cheaper to just get a p73 and a jumper harness?
you're going to find a lot of people claiming to have an OBD1 P73 set of maps, but they will be a modified GSR or fuel added to a B16 set of maps.
OBD2 and OBD1 use the maps differently so converting would require understanding the OBD2 ECU in detail. But at that point if you know that much about the OBD2 ECU, why not simply tune the OBD2 ECU.
There are a few decent basemaps out there that would get you going until you can get to a tuner, but nothing as plug/play like the OEM ECU.
that being said, you're setup isn't identical to the ITR, so you'd need something slightly different. As mtber said, a basemap designed for your setup would be best. Then of course hitting up a tuner asap.
