obd2 to obd1
im sure this has been covered like 1 million times but i cant find anything usefull..
i was wondering what the point of going obd1 is?? lets say the p28 is virgin...will it help or must it be chipped?

if your goin turbo you need it, cant chip obd2. Less sensors to deal with. When I did my JDM swap with the USDM obd2 ECU I had CEL's I couldnt get rid of. I just got a obd1 ECU and that cleared it up.

There are just way more possibilities as far as tuning with the OBD 1 setup over the OBD2, not to mention as it was said above, you cannot chip an OBD 2 ECU, nor really tune it at all. Your best bet is to run an OBD 1 ECU.

p28 is the d16z6 ecu
sohc vtec from 92-95 civic ex/si
i dont think your b16 will run with this ecu.
get it chipped and programed
