yeah def, the guy says it has a "flat" tire. Do you know if its a 4-5lug, so i can just bring a freakin tire, so i can drive it. For like $1200 you think thats a good deal?

One thing I have always done..well I say always but I have only bought one car and thats my EG. But have went with friends, etc when buying civics, teggys, etc. Pop the oil filler cap off on the Valve Cover and shine a flashlight down in there. Make sure its a caramel color and not nasty black and sludgy. People say it will automatically turn black with high mileage..BS. Then why have I seen 60k mileage honda engines be black and nasty as tar under the valve cover and my bros D16Z6 with 250K on it is so clean you could still eat off it? Why? Cause he changed his oil like he should have..thats why.

I might regret auto, but hey man for even just a clean shell...this is a pretty good deal. I'll probably be able to talk him down to like 1k too. But for a salvage you guys still think its a good deal, just needs a new tire and some other small things...

Good Job on the money man. I was in the same boat..started working when I was 16..saved...saved..and saved working minimum wage which was $5.15/hr(I know..could have been worse). I bought anything I wanted..just had to save a little..only had a cell phone bill. Then I bought my car at 18 and had insurance, etc. Then at 20years old I met this chick and for once wanted something other than just sex..haha...somehow she got my attention. Well I got engaged..then dis-engaged(lol)and I have been in the hole ever since and I am almost 24 now.

Ok..ok..enough of my life story. Just don't let those girls take yo money

deffinitly not a steal..

i was gonna say that if you are looking at a used car to look in the engine bay by the radiator support for bends and crinkles, like from an accident.
and look on the fenders, bumpers, and hood for different damages that may have been from a collision.

True 'dat. They can also be cleaner than "caramel" if they've been properly maintained over their life. My head had 140k miles on it when I took this pic...

The valve cover may have the caramel color you're talking about - or worse. But the head is pristine. The valve cover is not original. The old one was clean - but cracked. The head is original - 140k miles - never removed for any reason. I took this pic in the middle of a cam swap.

Rebar, You are right. If maintained great with oil changes usually the head and valves won't even turn caramel..but caramel is ok. That head on your LS is CLEAN. Looks like you got the B20 style valve cover. I like it so much better than the older style LS Valve Covers. Mine had old style so I went to junk yard and picked up B20 valve cover for 25 bucks before i even had put the swap in my car. haha.

To the OP, Looks ok..my favorite style Teggy. I hate that ugly gear selector though....Honda took the time to put P.R.N.D4.D2,etc beside the shifter..I wish they wouldn't have put the Auto lights on the clusters cause it just ****s the cluster..if they just left it off the clusters there would be that many more floating around for people to grab up.

After my EG got stolen I got a CHEAP *** cluster but it was an Auto EX cluster..still in my car...

Autos

Wheres the Engine bay pics BTW?? Did you get any?
