Default Maintenance required?

My maintenance required light has been blinking longer than usual lately and then today it stayed on permanently. Its a 03 type s, i do believe I just need to reset the ecu or something. please help

have you changed the oil lately, if the answer is yes, check you manual on how to turn the light off

Press and hold the trip reset button and while holding it down turn the key to the on position and continue holding the button until the light goes off.
